What is Pilates?
Pilates is a Mind-Body method of exercise that was developed during the last century by Joseph Pilates. The Pilates method is a safe, low impact and highly effective way to strengthen, stretch and streamline your body.
The specialized equipment and the unique exercises are designed to help you develop optimal strength, flexibility, posture and balance without building bulk or stressing joints. A consistent program of Pilates exercises will reward you with a strong sense of center and balance.
Every workout will leave you looking toned, feeling revitalized and moving with ease.
Clients are encouraged to take two classes a week in order to create the continuity, which makes Pilates truly efficient and satisfying.

BASI is the product of over twenty-five years of practice, study and teaching. It is a unique blend - integrating the pure form of the Pilates method, with academic knowledge, many years as an active athlete, dancer and yoga practitioner and a commitment to mastery on every level. I perform the highest level of the Pilates repertoire and yet I am the first to stress that the movements should not be the goal in and of themselves. Rather, the understanding of the movements and the positive changes that are a result of regular practice should become the ultimate goal.
